Partner and Head of Residential Property. Combines responsibility for the management and development of residential property services throughout the firm with acting for a wide range of private clients, investors and developers in all aspects of residential property transactions. Trained at Slee Blackwell from 1990 to 1992 becoming a partner in 1995. Educated at Ilfracombe School, Southampton University and Nottingham Law School. Lives in Exeter and Appledore. A former rugby player, is still in search of a replacement sport having found that ski-ing, golf and tennis are not for him. Coastguards are concerned that sailing is next on the list.

Louise joined the firm in March 1998, qualified as a solicitor in January 2001 and was made a partner in October 2004. Although based at the firm’s Barnstaple office Louise’s residential conveyancing practice covers the whole of England and Wales. She is a member of BNI and her personal interests include walking, socialising, and enjoying fine wine. Louise is also member of IAM and is a qualified observer with a local group of advanced motorists.

Brett is an associate solicitor and manager of our Braunton Office where he specialises in both freehold and leasehold residential property transactions.
Brett achieved a degree in Economics at Bristol University before reading post graduate Law at Exeter University where he also completed the Legal Practice Certificate. He trained with Slee Blackwell and has worked in four of the firms five offices. Brett also sits on the Devon and Exeter Law Society education and training sub-committee.
Away from the office, Brett spends most of his free time doting on his young family and where possible, enjoys the occasional game of rugby for Ilfracombe Rugby Club – though not to the standard that he and most of the forward pack would like.
David Andrews

Born in London 1965, David has specialised in conveyancing for the last 28 years; mainly in the Braunton and Barnstaple areas. Admitted to the Institute of Legal Executives as a Fellow in 1984, David joined Slee Blackwell in 1998. He is an accomplished table tennis player and is a former Secretary of the North Devon Table Tennis League.

Judith has specialised in residential conveyancing for 20 years. She qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in February 1994 and joined Slee Blackwell in December 1996. Judith has been involved in setting up and training staff to use the firm's case management IT software. In January 2005 she moved to our Bideford office to spearhead the firm's new residential conveyancing department at that office.
Samantha Millington

Samantha joined the firm’s Barnstaple office in July 2006 and has more than 25 year experience in conveyancing. She began as a conveyancing secretary going on to become became a paralegal/conveyancing executive in 2000. After a successful career in the South East, Sam relocated to North Devon to enjoy rural life. She loves the Devon countryside and enjoys coastal walks at Westward Ho!, Instow and Northam Burrows with her dog.

Barbara joined Slee Blackwell in Barnstaple over 30 years ago and enjoyed the privilege of working alongside Jack Slee and Douglas Blackwell, the founding partners of the modern practice. She qualified as a Legal Executive in 1981 and is now based at our South Molton Office, specialising in residential conveyancing. Barbara is a keen skittler she is Chair of the Barnstaple and District Ladies League.

Terese has been with Slee Blackwell for over 5 years and is based at our premises in South Molton. She specialises in residential and rural conveyancing. Terese is also active outside the office within the South Molton business community. She acts as Secretary for the South Molton Business Association which provides networking opportunities for business people in South Molton and the wider North Devon area. Terese has also established SMBA “Ladies Lunch” events, which are held in South Molton each month. Terese is additionally Correspondence Secretary for the South Molton Old English Fayre and will be familiar to many people North Devon for her monthly column in the South Molton News on topical legal issues.
Erin Thorne

Erin has been with Slee Blackwell Solicitors for over 5 years and specialises in residential conveyancing. She has built up a good working relationship with local estate agents in the Bideford and wider Torridge area. In her spare time (when she doesn’t have her head in a legal text book for her ongoing studies) Erin is a capable pianist and likes to cycle and walk regularly, as well as dabbling in charitable skydiving events.

Emma Napper joined the Slee Blackwell Solicitors in 2002, becoming a partner in 2006. Emma has recently been appointed joint office manager of our bideford branch, where she heads up our property team. Emma, who was previously based in our Barnstaple and South Molton offices, specialises in both residential and commercial conveyancing, dealing with both freehold and leasehold property. She also has extensive experience in licensing law. Emma is a member of the North Devon Business Association
