Brett Lawrence is a Partner and manager of our South Molton Office where he specialises in both freehold and leasehold residential property transactions.

Brett achieved a degree in Economics at Bristol University before reading post graduate Law at Exeter University where he also completed the Legal Practice Certificate. He trained with Slee Blackwell and has worked in four of the firms five offices. Brett also sits on the Devon and Exeter Law Society education and training sub-committee.

Away from the office, Brett enjoys the occasional game of rugby for Ilfracombe Rugby Club – though not to the standard that he and most of the forward pack would like.

Samantha Millington joined the firm’s Barnstaple office in July 2006 and has more than 25 year experience in residential conveyancing.

After a successful career in the south east, Sam relocated to North Devon to enjoy rural life. She loves the Devon countryside and enjoys coastal walks at Westward Ho!, Instow and Northam Burrows with her dog.

Emma Napper joined Slee Blackwell Solicitors in 2002, becoming a partner in 2006.

Emma is based at our Barnstaple office, where she deals with commercial conveyancing. She also has extensive experience in licensing law and is a member of the North Devon Business Association

Gemma is a partner in Slee Blackwell Solicitors LLP.

She is based at our South Molton office in North Devon and graduated as a fully qualified CILEX in April 2015.

Gemma deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing, including the sale and purchase of properties, re-mortgages and transfers. She is known for her high standards of client care and recognises the importance of keeping her clients fully informed of developments throughout a transaction; from the moment the deal is agreed, right the way through to completion.

Liam Harris is a conveyancing solicitor who grew up in North Devon and went to school locally.

He attained a first class honours degree in law and achieved a distinction on the Legal Practice course.

Since joining the firm Liam has spent time in the conveyancing departments of our Barnstaple, South Molton and Bideford offices.

Outside of the office you can find Liam surfing or walking his Labrador at one of our many Devon beaches.

Steph Cleak specialises in residential conveyancing and is the manager of our Braunton office.

She qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and was made a partner with Slee Blackwell in 2020.

Steph is highly experienced in freehold and leasehold conveyancing transactions, leasehold enfranchisement, mortgages, property development and planning agreements.

She is approachable and friendly, and is known for putting her clients at their ease.

Louise Langabeer joined Slee Blackwell in March 1998, qualified as a solicitor in January 2001 and was made a partner in October 2004.

Although she is based at the firm’s Barnstaple office Louise’s residential conveyancing practice covers the whole of England and Wales.

She is a member of the BNI and her personal interests include walking, socialising, and enjoying the odd glass of wine.
